$1000 Off Road Off Grid Camper Trailer – This is a list of materials and equipment I need to build a bare bones off road off grid camper trailer. The price here does not include the tools or the title and registration with DOT, the state and country treasurers offices.
BASIC MATERIALS LIST:
- Steel for Frame = $250
Plywood = $200
Insulation = $50
Axle & Tires = $300
Lights and Reflectors (DOT requirements) = $100
Window = $50
Door Hinges = $10
Trim and Weather Stripping = $40
- TOTAL PRICE = $1000
This is ONLY AN ESTIMATE. This is the beginning of the build. I have the design already on my computer and am hoping to be able to build this for about $1000.
THIS IS A BARE BONES EMPTY SHELL CAMPER.
There are no amenities, just an insulated shell on a steel frame.
The idea of course is just to have a place to store some items and have bed to sleep in, and shelter from the elements. That’s it.
