Quantum Life Hypothesis: Biological Life Merges With Technology Eventually Evolving Into Quantum Life

The Fermi Paradox is, in it's elementary explanation, a simple question; "Where is everyone?". If the universe is capable of developing life independently on planets in habitable zones (where liquid water can form;which is the basic building block of life) around their respective stars, then why isn't there evidence of the universe teeming with life? Why isn't the universe filled with aliens we can see everywhere we look? Enrico Fermi posited the question "Where is everyone?" as a simple question at a lunch with colleagues one day, and it has stuck with us since. It's become a paradox. It's a [READ MORE]

Why I think humans will never reach another star system

Interstellar travel is a delusional pipe dream. Microgravity does terrible things to the human body. Unless we figure out a way to make artificial gravity (no, a spinning disk is not enough) humans will likely never travel to another star system. Interstellar travel is not practical and not plausible because biological life forms are fragile and inefficient. Humans are not evolved for space. Even inside a spacecraft we're at the mercy of gravity (microgravity) and the effects of that on our bodies. We could not survive a generation-long trip to another star system, and even if we did survive, we'd [READ MORE]

Is Reality a Simulation?

Yeah, tell me again how we're NOT in a simulation...go ahead, I'm listening. Lookup Moore's Law, understand how fast technology advances, now fast forward 100 years, 200, 500, even 1000 years. We're already to the point of creating simple AI, and soon will have the ability to create advanced AI and from there superintelligent AI which will be trillions of times smarter than humans. Meaning, if humans are creating such hyper realistic 3D models and in-game physics and procedurally generated virtual reality environments now, what will AI create in the future? What if that already happened and we are already [READ MORE]

The Likelihood of Immortality

THE LIKELIHOOD OF IMMORTALITY: This is one of my ramblings about the possibility and likelihood of technological immortality based on statistical probability, Moore's Law, science, physics, evolution and everything. We'll start with the tech. LIFE EXTENSION MEDTECH:  Pharmaceuticals - Drugs. Mainly these are merely treatments for symptoms or preventative maintenance, not cures for diseases. Although there could be a “fountain of youth” type drug that allows a humanoid (or any carbon based biological entity) to survive very long periods of time. Though not immortal, the being (human or alien) could essentially live forever IF cellular repair and replacement could be [READ MORE]

So much awesome art, so little demand. NFTs have changed the art world forever

So much AWESOME ART! I spend quite a bit of time on DeviantArt and ArtStation just browsing the awesome art that's all over the place on those sites. So many talented artists, so few of them actually make any money, much less make a living with their art. It's tough. So much art! Millions of works of art from every imaginable genre and subgenre. Every style you could think of and a thousand more. Yet, 99% of the talented artists never make a living with their art. I realized something a long time ago about artists. Artists tend to have [READ MORE]

Being Poor is Expensive

2021-08-09T17:59:34+00:00By |Economics|

Being Poor is Expensive. In fact it's more expensive than being rich or even middle class. The reasons are many. it doesn't seem like this is true but it is. Some of you reading this right now understand because you're living it right now. You understand because you've been there and you live it every single day. Struggling just to get through each week, each month and each year. Even the middle class are having a hard time now and they are losing money, losing homes, and becoming poorer each day. This article focuses on why it's so expensive to be [READ MORE]
